How each event is played
Team
All teams start in one of four groups, playing every other team in their group in a full round-robin. The top team from each group advances to the Semifinals. Each team match consists of three sub-matches — two Singles and one Doubles — and the team that wins at least two of the three is declared the winner. Every sub-match is a best-of-three sets.
Doubles
Men's and Women's Doubles go straight into single-elimination knockouts from Round 1, where every match is win-or-go-home. Each round — from the opening match through the Quarterfinals and Semifinals — is a best-of-three sets. The Final is also a best-of-three sets, deciding the champions.
Singles
Men's and Women's Singles begin with group stages, where players face every opponent in their group in a round-robin. The top 16 advance to the Pre-Quarterfinals, starting a series of knockout rounds — each a best-of-three sets — through the Quarterfinals and Semifinals, up to a best-of-three sets Final to crown the champion.
Swiss League
A mixed-gender event: players compete in up to 9 rounds of a Swiss Round Robin (SRR) league. Each round is a single game played to 8 boards or 25 points, whichever comes first. The player with the highest standing after all rounds is the Swiss Event champion.
